SERVICES
EARLY LANGUAGE LEARNING
I have always been passionate about serving the community of families with children ages birth-five. I enjoy providing child-directed, play based therapy as it is the most natural form of communication. I coach parents through routine-based strategies to promote language learning and functional communication.
FEEDING THERAPY
Is your child a picky eater? Do they often couch and choke on their foods or maybe they can't drink from a straw? They may need support with the skills they need to become a good eater! I love using play based and family focused strategies to make mealtimes fun and easy for your child! I have taken many courses specifically focused on pediatric feeding therapy, most notably, Feed the Peds. I am familiar with working with tongue/lip ties, picky eating, and mealtime strategies. I have extensive knowledge on the oral motor skills children need to have to be successful, confident eaters.
MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPY
Does your child have difficulty with breathing, sleeping, snoring, or sleep apnea? Are they a messy or picky eater? Do they mouth breathe? Or maybe their dentist mentioned issues like teeth crowding, needing palatal expansion, or a tongue thrust? Your child may need a myofunctional evaluation. Myofunctional therapy is retraining the muscles of the mouth to rest properly so that we can breathe, sleep, swallow, and speak with our mouth in the correct position. I went through myofunctional therapy as an adult to address my sleeping and breathing issues so I can personally attest to the positive affects of this therapy. I started bringing myofunctional therapy into my current caseload of patients who were working on speech and/or feeding skills and realized it was the missing piece for many of my patients. I see pediatric patients of all ages for myofunctional therapy but I specialize in an early learning myofunctional therapy program for children ages 2-5.
SPEECH ARTICULATION SUPPORT
Your child has a lot to say and I want to help to ensure everyone can understand them! I have experience working with children who have difficulty producing a variety of sounds. I love to make learning fun for children!
LANGUAGE SKILLS THERAPY
For years, patients have depended on me to provide this valuable service. I love providing neuro-diversity affirming language therapy, so whether your child needs sensory play, movement, signs, or pictures, I want to help them communicate in the way that is best for them. I have experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, and ADD/ADHD. I love building a child's communication skills by using movement and play. I’m dedicated to building long-lasting relationships based on trust and integrity with every single patient.
