FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything You Need to Know

WHERE DO SERVICES TAKE PLACE?

In your home! I have extensive experience providing home based services to children because it is convenient for families and it is where children learn best. The home is a child's most natural environment and provides many wonderful opportunities for learning functional communication skills. I also provide services via telehealth or in your child's daycare to accommodate your schedule. My current service area for in home services is Firestone, Frederick, Dacono, Mead, & Longmont. Please fill out a contact form if you are interested in receiving services.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

I now accept Medicaid (also known as Health First Colorado) and CHP+ (also known as CO Access). Please fill out a contact form and I am happy to walk you through the steps of getting started through your insurance.

For other commercial insurances (i.e., Kaiser, Anthem, BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare) I am an out-of-network provider. This means that you do not need a doctor's referral, prior authorization, medical diagnosis, academic test score, or insurance coverage to participate in speech therapy at Admirable Therapies. I am happy to provide a super bill for services that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I also accept HSA (health savings account) and FSA (flexible spending account) credit cards as payment.

I also provide services through Colorado's Early Intervention program in Boulder county and Weld county. This program allows children birth to age three to receive services at no cost to them. Please fill out the form at the bottom of the home page if you'd like more information about early intervention.

HOW CAN I GET EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES?

Admirable Therapies is a contractor with Envision, one of the state funded early intervention programs in Weld County. I also contract with A&I Avenues, the early intervention program for Boulder county. If your child is under three, they may be eligible to receive free services through this program. Please contact me and I am happy to help you get started with early intervention services.

If your child is over three, there are grants for funding private pay speech therapy. Fill out the form on the home page if you would like more information

HOW OFTEN DO SERVICES TAKE PLACE?

Each child is different, but research shows that frequent sessions help children to progress the quickest. For most children, I recommend 1-2 sessions per week.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?

Most sessions are 30minutes-1 hour, depending on the child's needs.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY CHILD IS DELAYED IN THEIR SPEECH AND LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT?

Please refer to the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association’s reference charts for communication milestones.

WHO PROVIDES THESE SERVICES?

Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs), also known as speech therapists, provide services to people across their lifespan to help them with their language, speech, cognition, and feeding/swallowing. SLPs are skilled clinicians who hold a Master's level degree and state licensure in speech language pathology.

HOW MUCH DO SERVICES COST?

Each session is $145 per session. I charge a flat rate for each session because if your child needs a longer session, I don't want cost to be a deterrent! Given that I drive to each client, I can only take on a certain number of clients each day to make sure my clients receive the highest quality services so I created a rate that was competitive with the market for in home therapy services.

Evaluations are $300 per hour. Most evaluations tend to last about one hour, though I schedule for two hours so I have the time to get to know your child and what they need to get from speech therapy.
